Information for potentional service
providers:
NOW Digital has opportunities for service providers on most of
our local multiplexes. We are also bidding for new local DAB multiplexes advertised by Ofcom.
If you are interested in providing a service on an existing or future multiplex
then please complete and return the Service Provider Application form,
which can be downloaded from this page.
Sound quality options:
Bandwidth which is available to be contracted subject to the current
Ofcom licensing regime. Subject to available capacity we can usually offer the choice
of either mono or stereo broadcasts.
Price:
The cost is made up of several components.
Capacity Fee: This
is
the basic fee for capacity. Please note an Advance Payment of up
to one years fees is part of our normal contract.
Telecoms
Contribution: The cost of providing a link from the studio to the multiplex centre.
Installation fee: The cost of installing equipment at the service provider's studio that is required to enable it to broadcast on a DAB multiplex.
Marketing: We expect service providers to undertake activities with us to promote DAB digital radio.

Information
about application process:
1.
All applicants must complete the attached questionnaire.
2. Only valid and completed application form will be assessed. Further
information may be sought to assist in the evaluation of applications.
3. Applications which NOW Digital wishes to enter a contract with, will
be contacted as to this fact and will be sent a draft contract.
4. Before entering into any contract, NOW Digital will wish to seek
confirmation of the following:
a. Sight of a valid DSPS licence
b. Confirmation of the applicant’s ability to pay the fees detailed in
the contract. This would involve confirmation from a bank or financial
adviser, and sight of a business plan.
5. Please note that we do not disclose our ratecard without having had sight of a completed
Service Provider Application form.
